Oatmeal Squares


My kids love these and I find them a great alternative to packaged granola bars. They are also simple to make.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1/8 tsp salt

Mix all of the ingredients together then place in an 8x8 baking pan and pat down until level and firm. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. While still hot, cut into squares and leave in pan to cool. This also makes a great crust for lemon bars.
