Martial Arts For Kids - Fight Bullying
My 7 year old has been taking jui jitsu lessons for a few months now and he loves it. This martial art is a form of self defense and is great for improving flexibility, concentration, and to build confidence if confronted by a bully. It also teaches kids to be disciplined, hardworking and to show respect. My son just recently received his yellow belt, which is one up from the beginner's white belt. The goal is to practice the defense moves until they become second nature. This is also a great skill for adults to learn and there are many variations to martial arts such as tai-kwon-do, kickboxing, and karate. It is also quite affordable. The only thing you need to purchase to get started is a gi which is the white uniform and belt. I pay a monthly fee and he is able to go 3 to 4 times a week if he wishes.
