Apple Crisp Recipe
I love the smell of Apple Crisp. This is a delicious and easy recipe.
4 cups of cooking apples (MacIntosh works great)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1/3 cup butter, softened
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
Heat oven to 375 F. Grease bottom and sides of a 8-inch square pan.
Spread apples in pan. In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients until well mixed; sprinkle over apples.
Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is gold brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork. This is great served with vanilla ice cream or cream. Yummy!
