Removing Grease Stains
I have recently noticed a build up of cooking grease stains on the painted walls above my kitchen counters and stove. I didn't know how successful I would be at removing those and after doing some research, this is what I did. I put some vinegar into a small spray bottle and sprayed it directly onto the grease stains. I let it sit for a couple of minutes and then wiped down the vinegar with a damp cloth. Then I took a soft towel and dried off the walls. I noticed that there were still some stains so I wiped some Goo Gone onto the walls and I let that sit for about 10 minutes. Then I wiped it off with soapy water and dried it with a towel. The stains are now gone and my walls look fresh and clean again. I am going to do this once a week so that the grease doesn't build up anymore. Please do not try this if you have a marble backsplash or countertop because the acid in the vinegar will damage it.
