Kids and Funerals

This morning I found out that my grandfather passed away in the night. He was 100 so it was not a great shock although I am saddened and will miss him. My 7 year old would like to go to the funeral but I am having a hard time deciding whether or not he is old enough for that. I know there will be other kids there around his age but I don't know how he will handle the sadness. I know that he is old enough to be able to sit through the service and will probably understand the priest. He will probably also enjoy listening to other people's stories about my grandpa. Maybe it can be a learning experience for my son to see how people grieve and how death affects us.
